Doris J. Day, MD is a board certified Dermatologist who specializes in laser, cosmetic and surgical dermatology on the Upper East Side in New York City. Among others her practice includes national and international celebrities seeking a flawless complexion.

Called upon by many for her dermatological expertise, Dr. Day developed a skin care line, Good Skin, for cosmetic giant Estee Lauder in 2003. Also, she’s frequently tapped for advice by pharmaceutical companies, including Medicis, Galderma, and Dermik, looking to introduce new products into the mass market.
Not only is Dr. Day a highly respected dermatologist, but also she’s a sought-after media personality in the area of cosmetic dermatology. She has written and spoken extensively in this area including hour-long documentaries on cosmetic proceduñ for the Discovery Channel. She’s also had several appearances on CNN with Paula Zahn, Good Morning America and The Today Show, as well as, features in major women’s magazines, including Allure, ELLE, In Style, Vogue, Glamour and Redbook, where she writes a monthly column. Additionally, Dr. Day lectures regularly both to her peers and to the public on cosmetic techniques.
Dr. Day is affiliated with the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the New York University Medical Center where she was presented with the award for “Dedication and Excellence in the Teaching of Dermatology”. She is also listed in the Doctor’s “Who’s Who”, and has won awards for her work in laser research.
After graduating from Columbia University with a degree in English, she completed her masters in journalism at New York University and earned her M.D. degree at (SUNY) Downstate Medical School in New York. She has been trained in medicine at New York University Medical Center and completed her residency in dermatology at Cornell University College of Medicine with the title of Chief Resident and Director of Academic Activities.
